KNABE TO RECOMMEND $10,000 REWARD TO FIND LAKEWOOD ATHLETE’S KILLER
By Los Cerritos Community Newspaper GroupLos Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe is recommending that a $10,000 reward be offered to help find the person or persons responsible for the murder of Emmanuel Gatewood, a 17 year old standout football player from Lakewood High School who was recently gunned down while he attended a party.
Knabe will be seeking the reward next week during a public agenda item when the supervisors meet at the Los Angeles County Hall of Administration.
Gatewood died on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at approximately 10:43 pm, after being shot one after leaving a party at 1449 West 123rd Street in Los Angeles.
“It is believed that Emmanuel was not the intended target of the shooting. He was a bright young man who attended Lakewood High School and had recently turned in his paperwork to attend Grambling University in Louisiana,” Knabe said.
