Long Beach State softball player Nalani St. Germain was named the university’s player of the week, hitting .643 to lead the 49ers to a 4-1 record and a tournament championship at the Campbell/Cartier Tournament in San Diego. St. Germain hit a 3-run homerun to lead LBSU past No. 24 Houston, one of three 49er wins over ranked teams in the tournament.

–Klaudia Malenovska is scheduled to return to competition this weekend in the second match against Sacramento State.
No. 11 Women’s Water Polo (4-9)
lost to No. 1 Stanford 11-3
–The women’s water polo team travels to the Claremont Convergence for another tournament this weekend.
