rodarte Former Norwalk planning commissioner Marcel Rodarte, who returned some 30 days ago from a six-month stint with the U.S Air Force Reserves in Germany, is mounting a campaign for the City Council in the March 8 election. He has announced the endorsement of Assemblyman Tony Mendoza (D-Norwalk).

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of Assemblyman Mendoza,” Rodarte said, “and I am looking forward to working with him to build a better Norwalk.”

This is Rodarte’s second bid for a Norwalk City Council seat. His campaign two years ago fell short by just 15 votes behind incumbent Mike Mendez.

While he was deployed, Rodarte celebrated his 20th year of service in the military. He is a quality control specialist for the Department of Defense.

He has established a web site at www.VoteRodarte.com.
