LOCAL ROCKERS IN ART THEATRE SHOW TO BENEFIT 4TH STREET PUBLICIST
By Greater Long Beach
Six months after she was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, Diane Gershuny is in 100 percent remission. With good news like that, there is no such thing as bad news. But there is still such a thing as not-as-good news, and in Gershuny’s case, it’s a big pile of medical bills.
Yet that has led to some really cool news: the Fourth Street community of businesses and customers that have created the special vibe along Retro Row have banded together to make music and merriment—and some money to help Gershuny pay those bills.
Oh, and they’ll also be making some irony because the event they are promoting will benefit the publicist who has been promoting their events.
The centerpiece of the Dec. 21—that’s Tuesday—benefit is a concert in the Art Theatre by three Long Beach bands—roots rocker/guitarist Brophy Dale, Ray Barbee & the Mattson 2 and Cowboys and Indian.
Additionally, The Almighty Nectar will contribute DJ sets, there will be special drinks and goodies will be raffled on the night of the event.
Pre-sale tickets are at a discounted $16. Tickets will be available at the door the night of the show for $20. Available at: http://lbcinema.ticketleap.com/dianerocks/
