GARCIA JOINED LOWENTHAL’S VICE-MAYOR PUSH TWO MONTHS AGO
By LBReport.com
LBReport.com has learned that Councilman Robert Garcia gave a commitment to Councilwoman Suja Lowenthal “a couple of months ago” to support her for Vice Mayor.
Garcia stated this in at least three separate e-mails replying to community members who’d expressed opposition to naming Lowenthal as the Council’s next Vice Mayor. Garcia’s e-mailed replies include the following verbiage:
“As you probably know, I made a commitment to Councilwoman Lowenthal a couple months ago. It’s nothing against Councilman O’Donnell, he too would make a great Vice Mayor. Best Regards, Robert”
Garcia’s e-mails, which tacitly indicate that Lowenthal’s effort to be named Vice Mayor extends back “a couple of months,” came the day after a polarizing Council encounter on its Vice Mayor choice, a mainly ceremonial/periodically presiding position that isn’t normally a contentious matter.

Not at all surprising since Garcia and Suja practically BGFF.
Hey, Bill…you’re an (self-proclaimed) investigative reporter. How much does the Vice-Mayor job pay?
Finding out may help you from omitting the most important details of (other) stories as well.
