A Bellflower man and a Compton man, along with 10 others, are in Antelope Valley Court today for arraignment on felony dogfighting and felony aiding and abetting dog fighting charges.
A tip led Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies on Saturday to a Littlerock home where a dog fight was believed to take place. Surveillance of an alleged participant as he visited several locations in Antelope Valley eventually led deputies to a house on the 8900 block of East Avenue T-12 where they arrested the homeowner and 11 others. Among them were Jeffrey Reyes Tedtaotao, 36, of Bellflower, and Cornelius Bailey III, 35, of Compton.
Found on Paul Manuel Wilhite’s home were eight pitbulls that appeared to be fighting dogs, several scarred from what was believed to be previous fights. Also found were a dog fighting ring, a study guide on dog breeding and dog fighting, a treadmill-type machine for physical conditioning, and medical supplies — syringes and medication allegedly used for post-fight wound treatment. Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care & Control took control of the dogs.
